Bintu lost her parents during the 11 year war in Sierra Leone.  She was fostered by a couple who took mercy on her and took her into their home.  Bintu was one of the first beneficiaries of the Sweet Mother Scholarship.  She became an A student and was doing very well in school.  Unfortunately, her foster father started to make sexual advances towards her and FAWE was forced to remove her from this home.  Sweet Mother Liaison officer,  Mrs May Njie  volunteered to take her in and because of the distance from Freetown to FAWA SCHOOL (FAWE school is located on the outskirts of Freetown) in a rural village called Waterloo Village.  She was moved from FAWE SCHOOL to one of the best High Schools in Sierra Leone, The Methodist Girls School.  Since her enrollment at the MGHS, Bintu has become a STAR student.  She has won various prizes and maintained very high marks at her exams. Bintu has just taken her high school examination which would lead her to attend college. Sweet Mother took a decision to follow all of our 25 girls to higher institutions of learning in Sierra Leone. Please help us to send Bintu to college by kindly clicking on the donate button and clearly state in the "Note" field: Bintu’s College Fees. Thank you!
